Statement

My practice interrogates the relationship between identity, performance and costuming and it’s translation to representation through animation, drawings, paintings and video. Through narrativizing the transgression of boundaries between monstrosity and beauty, slippages occur between disguise, illusion and reality. I am interested in challenging static representations of identity and narratives through mimicry, parody and destabilized hybridized images, processes and subjects.
